Mission Statement

The American Society of Breast Surgeons was formed to encourage the study of breast surgery, to promote research and development of advanced surgery techniques, to improve standards of practice for breast surgery in the United States, and serve as a forum for the exchange of ideas.

Membership

The Society was founded in 1995 and now has more than 1600 members throughout the United States. Our membership is open to surgeons with a special interest in breast disease. The Society provides its members with a quarterly newsletter, a subscription to The American Journal of Surgery, educational opportunities, discounts on Workshops and registration fees to our annual meeting.
