BESAP II, a Web-based CME learning tool for physicians who treat breast disease, has been designed by The American Society of Breast Surgeons to help surgeons obtain the self-assessment credits necessary to fulfill the American Board of Surgery's Maintenance of Certification part 2 requirements for recertification.

The program will help participating physicians ensure a mastery of critical content for the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. It will also provide a significant fund of knowledge that can be used in breast fellowship programs.

BESAP consists of more than 400 multiple-choice questions that include critiques with evidence-based explanations for the answers and supporting references from current literature. Sixteen major content areas related to breast surgery have been included:

• Risk Assessment • Core Measures • Clinical Trials • Pathology
• Radiation Therapy
• Ethics, Professionalism, Medical/Legal • Mammogram and Ultrasound
• Cancer Management
• Survivorship • Anesthesia/Pain Management • Advanced Imaging • Surgery
• Oncoplastics • Palliative Care • Benign Disease • Medical Oncology

Users will have the opportunity to complete "practice tests" as part of the program's learning mode, preparing them for successful completion of the program after which they can claim credit.

BESAP II is expected to become the premier educational resource for surgeons who want to assess and maintain their clinical knowledge in the area of breast disease. Don't miss this opportunity to be among the first to have access to this valuable educational resource.

Upon successful completion of BESAP II, you will earn 65 CME credits that count towards MOC pt. 2 .
