When and where is the meeting this year?

The American Society of Breast Surgeons 18th Annual Meeting will be held April 26-30, 2017, in Las Vegas, NV at the Bellagio Las Vegas.

How do I register for the meeting?

Please log in to your account on our website at www.breastsurgeons.org and click on the annual meeting tab to register.  If you do not have an account with us please create one and then click on the annual meeting tab.

What are the meeting registration fees?

What does the meeting registration fee include?

The meeting registration fee includes tuition for the general session; electronic handouts and presentations; on-demand access to videos of the general session presentations; general session breakfasts, lunches, refreshment breaks; and admittance to the opening reception, exhibit hall, poster session and reception, as well as the president’s reception. AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ will be earned by attending the meeting.

How do I receive the student rate for the meeting?

    ASBrS Student Member

    As a member you may complete our online meeting registration form and do not need to provide a verification letter.

    Student Non-Member

    As a non-member you must complete a paper registration form and provide a program verification letter. To access a paper registration form, please log in to your ASBrS account on our website and click on the link to start the online registration process.  At the top of the registration form  there are instructions and a link to the paper registration form.  The verification letter must:

    • Be signed by your program director
    • State the program you are enrolled in
    • Include the start and end dates of the program
    • Be submitted with your meeting registration.

Can I register for the meeting if I am not a member of the society?

Yes, you may attend our meeting at the non-member rate. However, you can receive a discounted rate by becoming a member. Please visit our Membership page for more information: https://www.breastsurgeons.org/new_layout/membership/index.php

I am an international attendee and I am having trouble making my registration payment. How should I proceed?

If you are unable to make your payment through our PayPal payment service please contact the society at meetingregistration@breastsurgeons.org.

I am an international attendee, how do I request a letter of invitation for a visa?

Please go to our website at www.breastsurgeons.org , click on the annual meeting tab and go to the drop down tab entitled letter of invitation to print a copy of the invitation letter or to request a personalized letter of invitation, please email your request to meetingregistration@breastsurgeons.org.  A letter will be sent to you via email in 2-3 business days.

Can I register onsite for the meeting?

Yes, you may register onsite but please be aware that all registration fees increase onsite. Space in our pre-meeting courses and sunrise workshops are also subject to availability.

Can I register for the Exhibit Hall only?

No, the ASBrS does not have a separate registration for the exhibit hall only. You must register for the entire meeting.

How can I add a course to my registration if I have already registered and paid for the meeting?

You may add a course by completing and faxing the Add-a-Course form along with your payment to our office due by the final meeting registration deadline. You may only access the Add-a-Course form if you have already registered for the meeting by logging in to your ASBrS account with your user name and password, clicking on the Annual Meeting tab and clicking on the drop down menu option entitled ‘My Meeting Materials.’

I’ve registered for the meeting but unexpectedly cannot attend. May I send someone else in my place?

You may send a colleague in your place but you must request a meeting registration transfer in writing by emailing: meetingregistration@breastsurgeons.org.

How can I print a meeting registration receipt?

To access and print your registration receipt, please log in to your ASBrS account with your user name and password. Go to the Annual Meeting tab and click on the drop down menu option entitled ‘My Meetings Materials.’

What does a Guest Registration include?

The fee includes admission to the opening reception, president’s reception, poster session reception, and exhibit hall only. (Lunch and refreshment breaks will be held in the Exhibit Hall on Friday and Saturday.) General Session attendees may register guests.  Guest registration is not open to industry representatives. A guest registration may be purchased by the meeting attendee on the meeting registration form at the time of registration or if registration has already been completed, by completing our Add-a-Course form  (available by logging in to our website with your user name and password, clicking on the Annual Meeting tab and clicking on the My Materials tab).  Guest registration may also be purchased onsite at the meeting.

How do I make a hotel reservation?

Hotel reservations are made through the housing link provided on your meeting registration confirmation.  You must complete the registration process in order to receive a confirmation.  To access your confirmation, return to your ASBrS account upon completion of registration, go to the Annual Meeting tab and click on My Meeting Materials.

Will I receive a confirmation from the hotel?

After completing your housing reservation through the link provided on your registration confirmation, you will receive a reservation acknowledgement from our housing bureau.  Confirmations from the Bellagio will be emailed to you one week prior to your arrival.

What is the deadline for making a hotel reservation?

The deadline for reserving your hotel room for the 18th Annual Meeting is March 31, 2017.

What is the hotel cancellation policy for ASBrS meeting attendees?

Refunds will be issued on reservations cancelled at least 72 hours in advance of the confirmed arrival date.  To cancel your reservation, you must contact the Society’s housing bureau.  Contact information can be found on your reservation acknowledgement and/or meeting registration confirmation.

Is the society providing transportation from the airport to the hotel?

Transportation is the responsibility of each attendee.  There are taxi and shuttle services available at McCarran International Airport.  The Bellagio is less than 4 miles from McCarran International Airport however traffic at any time can be extremely heavy and you should plan on the cab or shuttle ride taking at least 20-30 minutes.

The hotel does not have or there is a problem with my reservation. Who should I speak to prior to arrival?

As your room is reserved in the Society’s housing block, the hotel will not be able to assist with any questions or concerns regarding your reservation prior to arrival. Please do not contact the hotel directly.  If you have any questions or concerns prior to arriving onsite, you must contact our housing bureau.  Contact information can be found on your reservation acknowledgement and/or meeting registration confirmation.

The hotel does not have or there is a problem with my reservation. Who should I speak to onsite?

If the front desk staff at the Bellagio is not able to assist you with your reservation questions or concerns, please visit the Society’s housing desk, onsite at the Bellagio.  Location and times of availability are TBD.

How do I make changes to my hotel reservation?

In order to change your hotel reservation, please click on the Modify link located on your reservation acknowledgement to access the housing site.  If you are in need of contacting the housing bureau directly, please refer to the contact information located on your registration confirmation.

I found a cheaper hotel rate on a discount website. Why should I reserve my room with the ASBrS’ Official Housing Partner?

The Society has negotiated special room rates, including a waived resort fee, at the Bellagio for our meeting attendees. In exchange for these negotiated rates, the Society has a contractual obligation to fill a minimum number of room nights during the annual meeting. Therefore, it is important that your room reservation is credited to the Society’s room block. Please be sure to book your accommodations using the link provided on your meeting registration confirmation. Doing so will help to ensure that the Society is not assessed a financial penalty.

What are the closest airports and what is the commute time to the hotel from the airport?

Is there an Exhibit Hall at the meeting?

Yes, attendees and guests will have the opportunity to visit the industry’s top vendors in the Exhibit Hall located in the Tower Ballroom. Exhibitors will showcase the latest technology and the newest procedures. You will be able to meet with company representatives and see this technology first-hand.

Can I pay my annual membership dues onsite?

No, we do not accept membership dues payments onsite but you may visit our website at www.breastsurgeons.org to make online payment.  You may also mail or fax your payment or for bank transfer details email membership@breastsurgeons.org.

Will I have access to meeting materials on your website?

Yes, you will be able to log in to your ASBrS account on our website to access meeting materials for all portions of the meeting and pre-meeting courses you are registered for.

Does the 2017 Annual Meeting offer CMEs?

The 2017 general session and pre-meeting courses will not only provide an opportunity to earn up  to 40 AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credit(s)™, but will also include the self-assessment activities necessary to claim up to 26 AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credit(s)™ toward Part 2 of the American Board of Surgery (ABS) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Program.

The American Society of Breast Surgeons is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

Is child care available?

The ASBrS does not provide childcare onsite.  However, the Bellagio offers childcare and nanny services that can be arranged with the hotel concierge.  There is a 4 hour minimum and the rate, as of November 2016, is $45 per hour.  Please contact the Bellagio hotel concierge for current pricing information.

Is there a designated space to nurse my baby?

Yes, there will be a quiet room for nursing available. Location and times TBD.

Are there organized activities for guests?

Does the hotel offer assistance for visitors with disabilities and special needs?

Can I leave my belongings, suit case, etc. at the registration counter?

The ASBrS registration counter is not secure and we are not responsible for any personal belongings.  Please visit the bell stand for a secure place to leave your belongings.

POSTERS/ABSTRACTS

How can I submit my abstract?

Abstract submission is closed.

If a colleague is also submitting an abstract, can we request they be presented together, or near each other?

Posters will be grouped by topic and the staff will try to accommodate your request, but ASBrS cannot guarantee this.  Please email abstracts@breastsurgeons.org for more information.
