In and Around Orlando

While the luxurious Grande Lakes resort is a serene oasis located amid 500 lush tropical acres, it is still convenient to the myriad entertainment and themed attractions available throughout the Orlando area. Quick access to the Beach Line Expressway and Interstate 4 means you can easily reach the following from the resort by car:

  • Universal Orlando, including Universal Studios; Universal's Islands of Adventure, featuring The Wizarding World of Harry Potter; Wet 'n Wild water park, and Universal CityWalk night-time entertainment complex (9 miles)
  • Walt Disney World Resort, including Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Downtown Disney area (12 miles)

  • Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets—home to  more than 150 designer and brand name outlets, including Burberry, Armani Outlet, Salvatore Ferragamo, Kate Spade New York, UGG Australia (5 miles)
  • Orlando International Premium Outlets—home to 180 outlet stores, including Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, Gap, Guess, Hugo Boss, Polo Ralph Lauren, and New Balance factory stores  (7 miles)

  • Orlando Museum of Art, exhibiting a wide range of art from all over the world, including American art from the 19th century to the present with works by such artists as John Singer Sargent, Thomas Moran, George Inness, Georgia O'Keeffe, Ansel Adams, Suzanne McClelland, and William Michael Harnett; African art; and art of the ancient Americas—the broadest and most representative collection in the Southeast (18 miles)

Beaches

Florida Space Coast Florida's Space Coast, a nature-goer's paradise, is only 35 miles east of Orlando – making it Orlando's closest beach.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, the following 5 Atlantic beaches are the closest to Orlando, with drive times ranging from slightly over 1 hour to approximately 1-1/2 hours:
