Mastery of Breast Surgery℠ Program

MOC - ABS Maintenance of Certification

The American Board of Surgery recognizes the Mastery Program as fulfilling the requirements for Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Part 4 (ongoing participation in a national, regional or local surgical outcomes database or quality assessment program.) If you would like your data to be available for the American Board of Surgery Maintenance of Certification Part 4 simply go to the "My Account" section of the Mastery Program website, click on "Level of Participation" and select "yes" in the drop down box under "MOC- ABS Maintenance of Certification." This means that you must enter quality measures on all consecutive open surgical procedures. You will be able to download your own data for submission to the ABS for recertification.

Earn Continuing Medical Education Credit (CME) Toward Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Part 2

Participation in the Mastery program provides surgeons the opportunity to earn CME credit online, free of charge, by reading select practice-specific journal articles and successfully answering corresponding questions.  Participants are eligible to earn a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credit(s)™ per article toward fulfilling the requirements for the American Board of Surgery (ABS) MOC Part 2. (A score of 75% or higher on each activity is required to qualify for credit.)

The American Society of Breast Surgeons is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
