Course Description:

This pre-meeting course explores evidence-based strategies from lifestyle medicine — including nutrition, exercise, and wearable technology — to enhance outcomes in breast cancer patients. Grounded in NCCN, ASCO, and ACLM guidelines, it delivers practical tools for integrating lifestyle interventions into surgical and survivorship care, with a focus on overcoming skepticism and promoting sustainable behavior change.

Course Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Present evidence-based strategies from lifestyle medicine to improve outcomes in breast cancer patients.
  • Equip surgeons with a working understanding of NCCN, ASCO, and ACLM survivorship guidelines.
  • Provide actionable tools for integration of lifestyle principles into breast surgery and survivorship care.
