Survey Submission

All survey and research proposals must be reviewed by the Society’s Survey Committee and approved by the Board of Directors. Survey proposals are reviewed by the Survey Committee twice a year, once in April and once in October. The submission deadline for the next review is is October 15, 2026.

Please return a completed submission form along with a copy of your abstract and survey or proposal to the Society Office. For further information, please contact Brooke Bixler at bbixler@breastsurgeons.org.

Overall Guidelines for Survey Proposals

• Preferential treatment will be given to members of the Society. However, anyone can submit a proposal. There is no fee associated with submitting a proposal.
• The study submission form and an abstract are required for all surveys and research proposals. Survey questions may also be submitted but are not mandatory.
• As a part of the process, the submitter will be aided by the Survey Committee and/or other members of ASBrS leadership to develop survey questions, distribute the survey, and gather data.
• The survey will be distributed by ASBrS with the ASBrS email logo, and ASBrS will collect the data. The survey will be subject to approval by the Board prior to distribution.
• The data will be the property of ASBrS but will be transmitted to the requesting member who will have 1 year to analyze the information and prepare any publications. A courtesy copy of your manuscript submission to a peer reviewed journal is required.
• If the data will be presented and/or published, you must provide information on where it will be presented and/or published.
• If IRB is required for the survey, it will be on the onus of the PI.
