
About Certification and Accreditation
The Society offers certification to individual surgeons in breast ultrasound and in stereotactic breast procedures. Breast ultrasound and stereotactic certification both require the submission of a clinical application and successful completion of a written examination. Stereotactic certification also requires successful completion of a practical exam. To become accredited in either breast ultrasound or stereotactic breast procedures, facilities must submit an application that demonstrates it meets the specified requirements.
