Call for Videos
Submission Deadline: November 11, 2026, 3 pm et
“Actions speak louder than words.” For surgeons, video is often the most effective tool for peer-to-peer education. The American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBrS) invites you to submit a video showcasing your unique “tricks of the trade.” We welcome submissions that:
- Demonstrate a novel surgical procedure.
- Provide innovative tips or tricks for a standard procedure.
- Showcase a unique approach to a complex clinical problem.

Submit a VideoConference Presentation & Review Details
Authors of selected videos will be invited to present at ASBrS 2027, the Society's 28th Annual Meeting, held at the Marriott World Center in Orlando, FL, from April 7–11, 2027.
- Presentation Format: During the session, videos will be played without audio. Presenters will provide live, spoken narration from the podium.
- Peer Review: Submissions will be evaluated by the ASBrS Online Video Library Committee based on technical precision, video quality, and intrest to the ASBrS membership.
- Publication: At the committee's discretion, accepted submissions may be permanently hosted in the ASBrS Online Video Library website.
Note: Video submissions are strictly for presentation and educational publication, and are not eligible for annual meeting awards.
Video Submission Guidelines & Requirements
Pre-Production & Consents
- Video consent forms will be required from surgeons and patients featured in each video. Make sure to include the ASBrS Consent and Release Form.
- We encourage the inclusion of informational slides at the beginning and the end of your video that outlines the procedure, indication for the procedure, and goals of the video.
- Remember to take Pre-Op and Post-Op photos for surgical procedures to be included in your video.
Video Content & Production Rules
- Ensure the Viewer is clearly oriented to the anatomy in the video.
- If demonstrating oncoplastic techniques the video should include skin markings.
- Vendor branding cannot be shown. Use generic names instead of brand names in your narration.
- Do not use copyrighted images. Ensure all diagrams or images used are strictly original or cleared for use.
- Videos must include narration in English for the review process.
- No background music may be used of any kind.
- If needed, Video editing assistance may be available to members, pending committee and staff approval. Contact us for more information.
Technical Specifications
- Videos should be professional high-quality educational style.
- Final edit of the video should be 5–6 minutes in length.
- Standard video file formats must be used, for example (like MP4) at 1920x1080 resolution.
- Recommended file size is 300–2GB. Upload speed will depend on the speed of your connection.
Phase 4: Submission & Conference Requirements
- All videos must be submitted through our video submission portal no later than 3:00 PM ET / 12:00 PM PT on November 11, 2026. Within 24–48 business hours of completing this form, you will receive an email with a link to upload your video. (Email pbunn@breastsurgeons.org to help expedite if submitting within 24 hours of the deadline).
- If selected for presentation, you will be required to complete a disclosure of financial/non-financial relationships with ineligible companies form. You will access through our online disclosure system, Convey. ASBrS CME staff will contact you with instructions on how to complete your disclosure when it becomes available.
- If accepted, you must register for the conference in Orlando to narrate your video live from the podium (as videos are played without audio).
