Course Description:

This course is designed to introduce breast surgeons to the Single Port Robotic Nipple Sparing Mastectomy. We will review the current data and consensus statements around the procedure, patient selection along with risks and benefits, bedside support and set up, different techniques and current recommendations for implementation.

Course Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss the risks, benefits, alternatives and indications for nipple sparing mastectomies and when the robotic approach is appropriate.
  • Describe different techniques and set up for the Single Port Robotic mastectomy
  • Understand the credentialling, support and experience needed to responsibly start a robotic mastectomy program.
