Target Audience:
Surgeons and other healthcare providers with a special interest in the treatment of breast disease and emerging surgical innovations, patient-centered outcomes, and contemporary approaches to nipple-sparing mastectomy.
Objectives:
At the end of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • Describe some of the emerging surgical innovations in nipple-sparing mastectomies, including the potentials risk and benefits.
  • Identify patient populations where this technology may be helpful and where data does not currently support its application.
Description:
Advances in mastectomy are increasingly focused on improving patient experience, function, and quality of life, while maintaining oncologic safety. Innovations such as minimally invasive nipple-sparing mastectomy and sensation-preserving techniques have generated increasing interest, yet questions remain regarding patient selection, learning curves, long-term outcomes, and broader implementation. This webinar will critically review the current evidence supporting these approaches and evaluate their role in the future of breast surgical practice.
