ASBrS Resource Guide for Coronavirus (COVID‑19)

The ASBrS executive committee has compiled the following list of resources to help our members during the Coronavirus (COVID‑19) pandemic. ASBrS is monitoring guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and other reliable sources regarding COVID‑19. This is not a comprehensive list of resources. We advise all members to contact their state and local health authorities for guidance regarding testing for and managing the outbreak in your own community. Practice variation will occur by region right now, though changes can happen rapidly as the community spread evolves. The situation is changing almost hourly, and we advise frequent communication with your health care system.

Consider the following practices to decrease traffic and exposures in clinic to both patients and staff:

  • Schedule as many virtual visits as possible
  • Postpone/ reschedule screening mammograms
  • Postpone/ reschedule routine visits (particularly for elderly or immunocompromised patients)
  • Management of elective cases per ACS recommendations and institutional guidelines
