ASBrS Multi-Disciplinary Panel—Recommendations for Pain Management in Breast Surgery

Considering the opioid epidemic as well as variation in pain management practices after breast surgery, The American Society of Breast Surgeons convened a multidisciplinary panel to develop recommendations for pain management in breast surgery. A comprehensive literature review was performed by the inter-disciplinary panel which was comprised of experts in the fields of breast surgery, anesthesiology, plastic surgery, rehabilitation medicine, and addiction medicine.

Findings are published in the Annals of Surgical Oncology (ASO). To view the publication in its entirety, members may use their complimentary electronic subscription to ASO. Visit the Clinical Resources tab's Annals of Surgical Oncology page for access.
