Please join us welcoming Dr. Eric Manahan, the 29th President of the American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBrS).

A native of Tennessee, Dr. Manahan earned his undergraduate degree from Auburn University. He received his medical degree and surgical training at the James H. Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University, and later returned to Auburn to complete his MBA.

For the past 25 years, Dr. Manahan has practiced in Dalton, Georgia, at Hamilton Medical Center, where he also served as Co-Director of the Breast Program at Peeples Cancer Institute. He now begins an exciting new chapter as Director of Breast Surgery at the Spencer Cancer Center in Auburn, Alabama.

Today, at the ASBrS 2026 Annual Meeting in Seattle, Dr. Manahan officially assumes the role of President, succeeding Dr. Michael P. Berry. We look forward to his leadership in advancing the mission of the Society.

Dr. Manahan and his wife, Kelly, have been married for 32 years. They have twin daughters, Paige and Lindsay. Outside of the operating room, Dr. Manahan enjoys golf, running and is an avid Auburn fan.
