In an effort to standardize the breast fellowship training curriculum and make the application and acceptance process more structured, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, in collaboration with Society of Surgical Oncology, and the American Society of Breast Disease, has developed comprehensive guidelines for training breast fellows.

Breast Education and Self-Assessment Program (BESAP)
Fellows may freely access a special version of the Society's BESAP program. BESAP is a web-based learning tool for physicians, intended to help participating physicians ensure a mastery of critical content for the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease.
